Spencer House

I am writing to express my deep appreciation for everything that you and the staff did for my mother. The care that she received was excellent. The staff on Maple Lane are to be commended for all their hard work and caring. Mom received top notch care from all staff from nursing, administration, recreation, therapies and maintenance… I will miss your staff members, especially those on Maple Lane who became like family to me and provided the care that met and exceeded the quality of care that I expected… Please pass my sincere thank you on to the staff on Maple Lane and tell them that I miss them.

My mom moved here and couldn’t be happier. Staff is caring, skilled and lovely; place is clean, constant activities for the residents. Very impressed.

On behalf of my family, we would like to say “thank you” for the exceptional care and support [Spencer House] gave our Mom. You are unsung heroes!… I want you all to know that your efforts and care did not go unnoticed by our family. We could no longer care for Mom ourselves and it was difficult to leave her in “a home” but we always knew she was well cared for and treated with compassion and concern.

I want to send my sincere gratitude for the excellent care given to my dad and to all of the residents at Spencer House. This care starts at the reception desk. They make you feel welcome, and once on the 3rd floor I am always greeted by caring and professional staff. You can tell why they chose this profession. I have told Sarah many times it takes a special person to work with our loved ones.

My mother has lived at Spencer House for several years. I have always been so very grateful for the staff there and how kind and caring and committed they are. Now more than ever, I wish I could hug each one of them and tell them my admiration and appreciation for them is so big it can’t be expressed in words. They’re all heroes and angels.

Currently in her 102nd year, [my mother] has been a resident for the past three years and has benefitted immeasurably from all the services provided for her. The care, compassion and diligence provided by the PSW’s, nursing team and other front-line workers is exemplary. The human touch and kindness they display on a daily basis far exceeds the spectrum of expectations of their job description… The diverse social and leisure activities at Spencer House provide not only a source of entertainment, but a feeling of camaraderie and community to the residents, and a much needed sense of belonging. The positive vibe that surrounds you upon entering Spencer House is genuine. Residents, visitors and family members are all made to feel welcome.
