Dr. Hugh Boyd is an experienced care of the elderly physician practicing in Hamilton, Ontario. In addition to providing bedside care, he has carried multiple medical leadership roles advocating for improved care.
Dr. Hugh Boyd is a care of the elderly physician practicing in Hamilton, Ontario. In addition to serving as the chief medical officer of Sienna Senior Living, he also serves as the medical director of a long-term care community and as an assistant clinical professor at McMaster University. Dr. Boyd previously served as a chair of the Ontario Medical Association’s section on Long-Term Care/Care of the Elderly, a president of the Ontario Long-Term Care Physicians, and as chief of staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph.
Through his advocacy with the Ontario Long-term Care Clinicians, the Provincial Geriatrics Leadership Organization and several government advisory committees he strives to modernize quality inspections, quality indicators, person-centered care and clinician wellness in long-term care.
