Ali Mir

Mr. Mir is Executive Vice President of Long-Term Care at Sienna Senior Living. He is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 25 years of experience spanning healthcare, operations, technology, and strategy.

Mr. Mir is known for his people-first, data-driven leadership style that he has leveraged to drive performance across numerous organizations. Prior to joining Sienna, Mr. Mir first served in the seniors’ care sector at Extendicare, where he oversaw its home care division, ParaMed. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer at Sentrex Health Solutions, a specialty pharmacy, and drove health tech innovation at TELUS Health and eHealth Ontario (now Ontario Health). Earlier in his career, Mr. Mir advised corporations worldwide on growth and transformation strategies at McKinsey & Co. He began his career as a diplomat, representing Canada at our embassies in Latin America and the Middle East.

Deeply committed to community service, Mr. Mir has served on several boards, including the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Mental Health Association and Home Care Ontario. He currently sits on the Board of the Ontario Clinical Imaging Network.

Mr. Mir holds an MPhil from the University of Cambridge and a BA (Hons) Economics from McMaster University.
